When the peaks of our sky connect, our house will have a roof/part II, VSG, Košice, 2014, with Zuzana Žabková
Micikova inspired by the burned out floor of the AQB building, based her work on developing her collages and installations around and with the ancient Japanese exterior decoration technique Shou sugi ban. In her maps and models, she leaves the technique of 'tiling' with charred wood by letting it in its initial stage. What was originally meant to be outside in her landscapes stays inside. Zabkova follows Micikova ́s temporary architectures and imaginary spaces by placing a performer as if directly into them. She choreographs the installation of several videopeformances where she reference a space that was created by burning out the inside of a giant sequoia, a space once used by the Native Americans as a dwelling.
